We seek to assist engaged couples in planning for their wedding day as well as preparing them for the lifelong commitment of marriage. Pastoral counseling and marriage preparation classes are used to equip couples to thrive amid the challenges of the marital journey.
Scheduling Your Wedding
Meet with the Pastor
Contact the Community Care Office at North Heights at 651-797-7802, to discuss the requirements of getting married at North Heights.Guest Pastors
If you desire to have a guest pastor participate in your wedding ceremony, please discuss this when you meet with the pastor at North Heights. All weddings performed at North Heights are to have a North Heights Pastor co-officiating.Wedding Coordinator
After your initial meeting with the pastor, you will meet with the North Heights Wedding Coordinator, Marilyn Johnson. The Wedding Coordinator is available to assist you not only with your general plans and preparation, but is also present the day of your wedding and often at the rehearsal. Decisions regarding your wedding should be made in consultation with the Wedding Coordinator.
Scheduling Policies and Information
Weddings may be scheduled any day of the week with the exception of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Labor Day, Good Friday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve.
Normally, two weddings may be scheduled on any Saturday at either location. Seven hours are required between weddings due to necessary housekeeping.
The time of your wedding will be scheduled with the Community Care Assistant.
For each wedding, the Sanctuary or Chapel and two dressing rooms are reserved from four hours before and two hours after the scheduled wedding time.
Receptions may be scheduled at either location. Receptions will generally not be scheduled following a 7 p.m. wedding. A reception will be scheduled for four hours from the start of the wedding ceremony (i.e., for an 11 a.m. wedding, the reception time is from the end of the service until 3 p.m.) Receptions at Roseville will be in the Community Center Dining Room and receptions at Arden Hills will be in the Great Hall.
Note: The use of alcoholic beverage and smoking is prohibited within the church facilities. Alcohol is also prohibited on the church grounds. Smoking is allowed outside the church facilities.
Non-Members
Due to extensive facilities usage, weddings will be performed only for those who are members of North Heights, those who have attended membership classes, or whose parents are members.
Roseville Campus
The Community Center Dining Room will serve 200 people in a sit-down meal. Overflow seating for 100 can be set up in the Multipurpose Room.
Arden Hills Campus
The Great Hall will serve 500 people in a sit-down meal. The Great Hall can be divided into smaller sections to accommodate various sized groups.
Both Facilities
Please contact the Wedding Coordinator two weeks before the wedding to discuss table arrangement, number of guests to be seated, and number to be seated at the bridal table.
Because of fire codes, no open-flame candles are allowed at the reception. North Heights has candles available that meet the fire code. They are available through the food service director.
